Lane closures on Medical District Drive to impact shuttle route 

Please be advised that lane closures on Medical District Drive will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., temporarily impacting the main entryway and shuttle routes. As a result of construction work for the new UTSW Psychiatric Hospital on Medical District Drive and Harry Hines, there will be changes to our shuttle routes at the Dallas campus (Main Drive and DART routes) from Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, through Friday, Aug. 16, 2024. 

Due to construction work for the new UTSW Psychiatric Hospital on Medical District Drive and Harry Hines, there will be changes to our shuttle routes at the Dallas campus (Main Drive and DART routes) from Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, through Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024. The original completion date was anticipated to be Friday, Aug. 16; however, the closure and restrictions have been extended by three days. Normal shuttle operations are now expected to resume on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024.

During this time, the Main Drive shuttle stop will be closed, and the Main and DART route service to Main Drive will be suspended. All patrons are advised to use the Bright Building stop during this period. This closure will impact our team members, patients, visitors, and physicians. 

Future closures are anticipated to occur on the following dates, impacting the same route, with the directions outlined above remaining in place: 

• Sept. 16 – Sept. 27

• Oct. 14 – Oct. 18 

• Oct. 30 – Nov. 8 

These dates are subject to change, and our teams will provide further information should they change. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this period of construction.
