How to prepare for your child’s testing appointment:
Testing visits take several hours (4-8 hours). A parent or guardian must be present for the entire visit.
Breaks will be provided. Depending on the time and duration of the visit this may include a break for lunch. You are welcome to bring snacks and/or lunch and drinks. Check the Children’s Health Mobile app or childrens.com for food options available at your appointment location.
We recommend that your child eat something before the appointment.
Make sure your child is well rested and gets a full night of sleep prior to testing.
Your child should take all medications as prescribed.
Don’t forget to bring the following items to the appointment:
Glasses, hearing aids or other assistive devices
Light sweater or jacket (our clinic may be chilly at times)
School records (examples: evaluation reports, report card, 504, IEP/ARD/special education paperwork)
Any previous evaluation reports to share with your child’s provider
