Pediatric Anesthesiology Affiliation

Anesthesiologists For Children, Inc. (AFC) is the hosting department for Anesthesiologist Assistant Students (AA-Students).  We host 4 AA-Students on a bi-monthly basis, one from each school we are contracted with. Approximately 24 AA-Students complete rotations each year at Children’s.

Contracts

Anesthesiologist assistant schools that have affiliations with Children’s Health:

• Case Western Reserve University Houston and Cleveland

• Emory University

• NOVA Southeastern University

• South University

*New contracts are subject to approval by a review panel

Department specific information

• All rotations are at the Children’s Health Dallas campus.

• Students spend their first day completing department orientation. They will report to clinical assignments on their second day.

• All students are provided with a Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology Orientation and Training Handbook at orientation that outlines objectives and requirements during their rotation.
